If we pause long enough to feel into the scope of the change necessary right now it can feel incredibly overwhelming; it doesn’t help that everywhere we go there’s anxiety provoking advice crowding our senses.
At every turn we find another “expert” offering a hack, a supplement, a trick or technique that will “fix” our problem. Many of the “experts'' mean well & some of their stuff actually works (sometimes). But how much of the “fixes” truly focus on reconnecting us to the rhythms & harmonies of nature?
There’s a different way to go about cultivating change.
Over the course of our careers supporting process of change, we’ve noticed that hyper-focusing on the solution is often part of the problem.
The “fix it” narrative activates urgency.
In urgency we lose access to the vast majority of our internal guidance.
Without access to the seat of our spirit & our connection to our own intrinsic instructions we have no choice but to fall back into our programming.
And well….. look around, our collective programming obviously needs an update.
What we’ve found (in our 20+ years of cumulative experience) is that in order to create change that brings us closer to the medicine of natural law we need to remember how to connect to our senses.
There’s a magic that happens when we access sensation & remember our connection through sight, sound, smell, taste, touch & feeling. With practice, time & space we build capacity to notice the waves of sensation that inform our being day-in & day-out.
This is nature (as us). Connecting to it is our birthright.
Interpreting what we sense & feel accurately is a forgotten skill that can be remembered with discipline & practice. If we’re serious about creating real, sustainable change in our lives, we need to access this forgotten knowledge and the answers waiting for us to tune in & take action from within.
INITIATE is a curated space to tap into truth as an embodied experience & build capacity to feel 'the answers' that are living within us.
We need each other to do this work.

INITIATE IS A 9 month COMMITMENT
together we will develop our warriorship & step firmly into purpose while aligning with the cycles of Nature in connection to our particular geographical placement(s).
Together we will explore our relationship to the seasons using ancient teachings to guide our modern application.

Matt
Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) & practitioner of Classical Five Element Acupuncture with considerable experience in martial arts, dance, conventional athletics, acrobatics, gymnastics, and parkour. Matt believes deeply in the profound and healing effects of nature and community, and seeks to incorporate these aspects into his daily life.
Matt resides in Bellingham, WA with his wife Kendra & their two children.
Elden
Elden is a Somatic Relationship Coach, educator & mens work facilitator with 20+ years of experience working with the principles of conflict navigation. Elden is a student of martial arts (primarily BJJ) & has a long history of working with bodies in various movement oriented contexts. He considers the trees, plants, rocks, waters, soils, air & animal kin to be trusted advisors.
Elden lives on the ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone People (Portola Valley, CA) with his partner Ayla & his daughter.

Ayla
Ayla is a seer, healer, artist and alchemist. She honors the rich wisdom of cycles, is a devotee to the womb and a forever artist holding space for ritual and transformation. She merges the mystical + mundane, the somatic + spiritual & values the powerful material/spiritual sensitivity of this human experience. She loves slowing down, hand crafts, protecting her deep well, art-making, hiking, discerning, tending home, communing with the Unnamable and unfiltered dancing.
Ayla lives with her partner Elden & his daughter.
Alika
Alika is a guide who has studied extensively within the Bodynamics system, is certified in Hakomi Therapy, has been practicing yoga for 30+ years & has a deep history working with psychedelic medicines. He gives his clients tools to mentally, emotionally and physically stand on their own two feet through body based methods of therapy. Alika loves to surf, hike, laugh & play in the natural world.
Alika lives on Kauai with his partner Bridget.
